Engineering Description POSITION SUMMARY Core
Responsibilities:
Program Architecture Meet with the new and existing clients to understand their objectives and goals Support presales meetings with the Business Development and Sales Engineers Responsible for project's technical feasibility and end to end design, working across technical disciplines Preparation of design documents for Program technical initiatives Work with the delivery teams, engineers and delivery managers, for ongoing technical support and delivery Support RFPs, presentations, and pricing exercises for new opportunities Understand and mitigate implementation risks by supporting delivery teams and customer stakeholder management Prepare and present to Architecture Review Boards (ARB) for client buy-in for design decisions Drive new revenue opportunities through effective communication and delivery excellence Engineering and Operations Implementation Support and lead teams of engineers, project managers, and delivery managers to promote customer success Coach and mentor delivery engineers on architecture and implementation best practices Partner with Delivery and Program managers for monthly and quarterly reporting Drive Operational improvements through continual technical and process improvements Multiple Technical certifications across domains (ie AWS Certified Solution Architect, CISSP, CCIE, CCDA) Qualifications TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Strong Verbal Communication skills Strong Written Communication skills Organizational Agility; ability to work with other departments to drive change Experience with client acquisition and development Experience in the SLED market preferred Demonstrated ability to couple technical solutions with strategic business alignment Expertise in OT/IoT network designs Strong understanding of Fiber Optic cabling infrastructure and network-based solutions Service provider networking and DWDM Leading and providing technical direction to engineering teams Proficient in the following Network skills and protocols Large scale BGP design and implementation (including mBGP) OSPF ISIS IPSEC/DMVPN/SD-WAN overlay networking solutions 802.

1w/s and RPVST based datalink layer designs G.
8032 and like propriety ring-based protocols Large scale IPv4 multicast network designs PIM-SM as well as NG-MVPN based designs Large scale MPLS service provider network designs Optical network designs and concepts 10G and Coherent DWDM solutions using ROADM technologies OTN solutions Network automation Netconf/Restconf Orchestration Ansible frameworks Python scripting services EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS BS in Computer Science or Engineering preferred Experience with ITIL frameworks Documented experience supporting ITS (Intelligent Transportation Services) Field Operations infrastructure preferred POSITION SPECIFIC COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Successful candidate description from Department Manager:
Expert Level certification in Networking Services field required.
Technical certifications across domains (ie AWS Certified Solution Architect, CISSP, CCIE, CCDA) preferred.
