Sr Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

System One is currently seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer for a leading energy services company in Glen Burnie, MD.
This is a direct hire position.
Join a growing team who is responsible for identifying savings, optimization, and new revenue opportunities for water and wastewater utilities.
The team's primary focus is to analyze current facility operation and develop opportunities for upgrades that will either reduce operating costs or increase revenue.
Responsibilities:
Develop wastewater and water energy conservation measures for Performance Contracts (ESPC) in municipal, large institutional and industrial treatment facilities.
Identify and quantify energy conservation opportunities associated with wastewater and water treatment plant processes for ESPC projects.
Support business development initiatives by conducting audits to identify and quantify energy, operational cost, and resource conservation opportunities associated with upgrades to treatment processes.
Ability to write scopes of work for wastewater and water treatment plant process upgrades for subcontractor bidding Perform technical presentations of energy reduction opportunities at oral presentations to customers Write detailed energy conservation measure descriptions to be included in proposal submissions including sequences of operation Conduct site investigations, developing conceptual energy conservation measures, estimating energy savings and revenue Develop cost estimates and written descriptions of energy conservation measures in support of ESPC proposals and technical audits.
Analyze operational cost to determine customer energy performance and baseline cost parameters During the Investment Grade Audit phase, will manage external consulting engineers in developing conceptual drawing packages and prepare subcontractor Request for Proposals (RFP) for bidding.
During the Implementation phase, will provide engineering support for the Company's in-house construction team.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 8 years' experience in water and wastewater treatment.
Substantial knowledge of wastewater and water treatment plant processes is required, including pumping systems, aeration systems, digestion systems, digester gas processing systems, sludge drying systems, disinfection systems and variable speed drives and controls.
Prior experience in the following:
developing energy conservation measures for ESPC; developing control strategies to reduce energy consumption Experience writing, reviewing and optimizing control sequences of operation to control process energy consumption PE license preferred Proficient in MS Office software, excellent oral and written communication skills and prior experience dealing with customers.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
