Summary:
The Medical Assistant is responsible for aiding all providers in ensuring optimal patient care and promoting proper patient flow.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, keeping patient areas clean and well stocked.
Interview patients, measure vital signs (i.
e.
, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height) and record information on patients' chart.
Administer vaccines and perform other MA duties as needed.
Distribute appropriate patient information sheets, lab forms, school forms, medication forms and x-ray slips to patients as requested by the providers.
Greet, instruct, direct and schedule patients.
Check in patients, verify and update necessary information in the practice EMR.
Ensure correct insurance coverage.
File, coordinate lab work, physician reports ect.
Stock and maintain clean patient rooms and waiting area.
QUALIFICATIONS- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred but willing to train the right person.
Communication skills:
excellent interpersonal skills, ability to read, analyze and interpret documents; ability to respond effectively to all inquiries; ability to write using proper grammar, punctuation and spelling Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and work within a fast-paced environment Computer Skills:
Proficient in Windows applications; ability to use Excel; word processing; e-mail and Internet Ability to deal with confidential information appropriately Ability to multi-task and organize and prioritize workload Works well under general supervision Work Remotely No Job Type:
