Job Description General Summary Under frequent supervision, prepares, portions, and serves patient and cafeteria cold food according to recipes and proper food handling techniques.

Reporting Relationships Reports to the Senior Supervisor
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
Experience:
Experience in food service is preferred.
Working Conditions Works inside in a clean, well-lighted environment.
Expected to work on rotating shifts including weekends and holidays as necessary.
May be expected to work in other than regular area to provide adequate staffing, if the need arises.
The worker is subject to hazards:
Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals, used for cleaning.
Potential for exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials, requiring the observance of Standard Precautions and safe handling practices.
Physical Requirements Must be able to balance, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, push and pull a cart or tall boy with as much as 50 lbs on it.
Lift products between 25/30 lbs.
Fingering, grasp, feel, and make repetitive motions.
Ability to speak clearly; good hearing required.
Must have near visual acuity for reading (of menus, thermometers, recipes) to prepare and serve food.
Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment and cash register.
